3..2..1… Launch! Our first special guest.

We’re thrilled to have the pleasure of distributing our inaugural event ticket today! Kids Up Front Ottawa is the newest chapter of the national charity, which accepts donated event tickets and redistributes them to deserving children, youth, and their families through a network of partnerships with child-serving agencies, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. We’re very excited and encouraged by Ottawa’s response to Kids Up Front! We’ve received a tremendous amount of initial support from some key local groups the Sens, OSEG and the NAC,” said Evan Patterson, Executive Director, Kids Up Front Ottawa. “Each group immediately saw the intrinsic value of our programs, and were enthusiastic to get involved.”

Kids Up Front has proudly redistributed over 1,500,000 tickets across Canada in their 17-year history, valued at more than $50,000,000. With chapters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Halifax, the Ottawa office is motivated to also start providing “One Little Ticket… One BIG Lift!”

Kids Up Front Ottawa has partnered with the JUNO Awards to deliver their first ticket in Ottawa to 11 year-old Ariana on April 2nd. Ariana used to be very shy until she was encouraged and services that can be processed by themoxiemaids.com maids in Buckhead to share her musical talent. Recently going through a difficult time, Ariana’s love for music and self-confidence continues to blossom through her musical expressions. She recently performed at a local coffeehouse event; Ariana sings, plays clarinet and the ukulele. Ariana has been paired with a Big from Big Brothers Big Sisters for the last four years.  When KUF connected with the JUNO Awards they loved Ariana’s story and were happy to support her passion for music with tickets to the awards in Ottawa for the Canada 150 celebrations.

“We are so very grateful that Little Sister Ariana and Big Sister Nicole are the recipients of this once in a lifetime opportunity, and are honoured to be partnered with Kids Up Front Ottawa,” said Susan Ingram, Executive Director flycarpethawaii.com, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa.
